Georgette (Prevost) Asselin, age 95, of Mulberry St., Fall River, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2012 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Normand Asselin.
Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Frank Prevost and the late Antoinette (Hamel) Prevost. Mrs. Asselin was a long life resident of Fall River. She was employed by the former Berkshire Hathaway as a battery hand operator, prior to her retirement; she also worked for the former Cannon Hat Shop and the Howard Arthur Co. She was a parishioner of the former Blessed Sacrament Parish and then St. Anne's Parish since 1953 and belonging to it's Ladies' of St. Anne's Sodality, was also a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees.
Survivors are her grandson Michael Asselin his wife Suzanna, their two children Samantha and Gabrielle,her granddaughter Renee Hall; her two children Kohl and Kameronn Hall, former daughter in law Elaine Correia. She was the mother of the late Maurice Asselin, Sister of the late Roland, Normand, Leo, Leonidas, Lillian Holland and Jane Fournier; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Asselin's funeral will be held on Wednesday, December 12, 2012, from the BOULE FUNERAL HOME, 615 Broadway, Fall River, MA, followed by a funeral Mass at a time and place to be announced. Interment will be at Notre Dame Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 6:00PM to 8:00PM.
