Gerald Ahern Obituary

Gerald J. Ahern, 82, a lifelong resident of Manchester, New Hampshire, a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, a lineman and employee of the toll test department of New England Telephone and Telegraph Company for 39 years before his retirement in 1981, died at Elliot Hospital on Saturday, September 15, 2001, following a period of declining health. Calling hours are scheduled for Tuesday, September 18, 2001, 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., at McHugh Funeral Home, Inc., 283 Hanover Street, Manchester. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, September 19, 9 a.m., at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday, 10 a.m., at St. Pius X Church. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford, New Hampshire. Arrangements entrusted to McHugh Funeral Home, Inc., Manchester, New Hampshire.
