Gilbert Ahlborn Obituary

Gilbert T. Ahlborn, 85, a lifelong Munster, Indiana, area resident, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and an employee of Amoco Oil Company for 30 years before his retirement as a materials manager, passed away at William J. Riley Memorial Residence in Munster on Thursday, October 26, 2000. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Sunday, October 29, 2000, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., at LaHayne Funeral Home, 6955 Southeastern Avenue, Hammond, Indiana. Further visitation is scheduled for Monday, October 30, 10:30 a.m. until time of funeral services at 11 a.m., at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, 8601 Harrison Avenue, Munster. Services will be officiated by Dr. Eric C. Stumpf and Pastor Scott D. Bruick. Burial will be at Concordia Cemetery, Hammond. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, 8601 Harrison Avenue, Munster, IN 46321 or Hospice of the Calumet Area, 600 Superior, Munster, IN 46321.
