Grace E. Albertie, a long time Croton resident, died Friday at Bethel Health & Rehab Center. She was 88.
Grace was a retired Receptionist at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital.
She was born in Brooklyn on July 31, 1915, the daughter of William and Maude Brown Keane. On December 30, 1939 she married Gerald S. Albertie at St. Catherine’s Church in Manhattan. The couple moved to Croton in 1979. Mr. Albertie died in 1988.
After her retirement, Grace was an active volunteer for the Croton Caring Committee. She was also a parishioner at Holy Name of Mary Church, and belonged to the Croton Sr. Citizens.
Survivors include a son Gerald (Lucille) Albertie, of Monroe, NY, 2 daughters, Grace E. Koch, of Croton, and Marion Albertie, of Bronx, NY; 1 brother, Robert Keane, of Yonkers, grandchildren, Gerald J., Brian T., and Donald J. Albertie, and Lisa and Toni-Marie Feliu; also 8 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, Grace is predeceased by 5 brothers and 2 sisters.
Her Funeral Mass is Monday at 10AM at Holy Name of Mary Church. Friends may call on Saturday from 6-8PM and Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8PM at EDWARD F. CARTER FUNERAL HOME, 41 GRAND ST. CROTON.
Burial is in Bethel Cemetery.
