Grace Alexander Obituary

1918 - 2009
Grace L. Alexander, 91, of Chesterfield, passed away July 15, 2009 at Millerís Merry Manor after an extended illness.

She was born February 24, 1918 in Randolph County, the daughter of Harvey and Rosa (Bangle) Crull. She had lived in Anderson since 1933 and was a homemaker.

Grace is survived by two daughters, Grace M. (husband, James) Beane of Anderson and Alice J. Vandevender of South Carolina; grandchildren, Cheryl Flores, Tori Smith, Dana (husband, Mark) Turner, Chuck Vandevender all of Greenville, SC, James (wife, Nancy) Beane of Anderson, Joseph (wife, Jodie) Beane of Destin, FL; great grandchildren, Travis (wife, Andrea) Kendall, Jessica Turner, Alexandria Turner all of Greenville, SC, Brandon (wife, Cynthia) Smith of Seattle, WA, Rocky (wife, Jennifer) Smith of Greenville, SC, Austin Beane, Kaitlyn Beane Anderson, IN, Alana Beane of Destin, FL; great great grandchildren, Jacob, Abigail & Logan Kendall all of Greenville, SC, Justin, Mathew & Autumn Grace Smith all of Seattle, WA; four sisters, Thelma Kidwell and Helen Davis, both of Elwood, Jenive Merida of Anderson and Joan (husband, Dan) Gardner of Frankton; brother, Robert (wife, Sherry) Crull of Elwood; brother-in-law, Bob Smith of Elwood; sister-in-law, Juanita Alexander of Pendleton; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Merl E. Alexander in 2000; daughter, Mary Ann Alexander; brother, Floyd Crull; sisters, Rosemary Smith, Faye Kidwell; brother-in-laws, Francis Price, Bob Kidwell, Moody Marida, Don Davis.

Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home with Rev. Marvin Baker officiating. Entombment will be at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Millerís Merry Manor of Chesterfield Activity Room.
