Henry Corbet Ball
Henry Corbet Ball, 79, of Massillon, died Tuesday, April 29, 2003 at his residence. Born in Honacre, WV on December 15, 1923, he was the son of the late William and Lula (Fleeman) Ball. He worked for the United States Postal Service and was a member of the Malvern First Christian Church. He served in the United States Army during WWII and was awarded the Purple Heart.
He is survived by his wife Cora whom he married in 1949. Besides his wife he is survived by daughters and sons-in-law Judy & Ron Bower of Canton, Debbie & Jim Gray of Malvern; sons and daughters-in-law Terry & Robin Ball of Canton, William & Vicki Ball of Canton, Jim & Bonnie Ball of North Lawrence; brothers and sisters-in-law Charles & Gay Ball of East Rochester, Conrad & Mary Ball of Alloy, WV; sister Freda Spade of Alloy, WV; sister Nellie Warner of Elyria; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by son Roger, brothers Avril, William, Roy, and Howard and sisters Frances, Anne and Jane.
Funeral services will be held at the First Christian Church, 4046 Coral Rd., Malvern at 1:00pm on Friday, May 2, 2003 with Mr. Gene Dietz officiating. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery in Malvern. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Deckman-Bartley Funeral Home in Malvern. Friends unable to attend may register online at our website www.bartleyfuneralhome.com.
