Hoyt Adams, age 76, of Amity, died Monday, June 2, 2003.
He was born on November 23, 1926 at Amity, the son of Fred Adams and Calla Duren Adams. On April 14, 1945, he was married to Martha Fincher.
He retired as assistant parts manager for Bale Chevrolet in Little Rock. After retirement, he worked for Baker's Big Star Grocery in Glenwood. He was a member of the Amity United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Fincher Adams of Amity; three children, Carol Adams Bishop of Hot Springs, Susie Adams Telaga of Huntsville, Alabama and Bernie Adams of Amity; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, June 5, 2003 in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Ralph Hemund and Paul Coy officiating.
Visitation will be Wednesday, 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
Interment will be in the Jones Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood.
Pallbearers will be Eliot Adams, Bill Kirksey, Mike Telaga, Chris Telaga, Clay Maxey, Dale Sutton, Phil Smallwood and Sam Adams.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Kirksey, Erwin Sutton, Harold McAfee, Don Baker and Hazel Richardson.
