James Mack Adams, 70, Markleville, passed away February 7, 2008 at his residence after a 3 year illness.
He was born September 27, 1937 in Eaton, the son of Jesse Leroy and Pauline (Heartley) Adams and lived most of his life in Markleville.
He retired in 2004 as an independent truck driver after 42 years and was a US Navy Veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Noelene G. Adams of Markleville; three sons, Alan P. (wife, Luan) Adams of Markleville, James L. Adams of Fort Myers, FL and Tim L. (wife, Tracy) Adams of Westville, FL; two daughters, Joan F. (husband, Kevin) McCormick of Hobe Sound, FL and Sandra Dee (husband, Jim) Jennings of Pendleton; six grandchildren, Jeremy, Justin and Jason Shinabarger, James McNeal (wife, Constance) Adams and Christin and Trevor Jennings; five great grandchildren; three sisters, Pat Bradfield, Joanne Rhodes and Susan Reed; and loving brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Joan and Jim Preston, Ernie and Francy Ede and Jimmy Ede, all of New Zealand.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Pauline Adams; and sisters, Barbara Hudson and Peggy Martindale.
Services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home with Pastor Jack Stout officiating. Cremation will follow the service.
Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
