Joseph Adams Obituary

Mr. Joseph J. Adams, age 78 of Lynn, died Sunday at his sons' home in Lynn after a lengthy illness. He was the husband of the late Nancy A. Adams.

Born in Southbury, Connecticut, he was the son of the late Stanley and Mary Adams.

He attended Southbury Public Schools and had been a resident of Lynn for over 40 years.

He was a veteran of World War II having served in the United States Marine Corps.

He was employed as a manufacturing inspector for Hanson Engineering in Danvers for over 15 years retiring from there in 1989.

He was an avid sports fan. He was active with his childrens youth sports activities. He enjoyed trips to Atlantic City.

He is survived by 5 sons; Joseph E. Adams of Marblehead, Daniel L. Adams of Lynn, Michael A. Adams of Cave Creek, AZ and his wife Rebecca, Steven J. Adams of Lynn and Thomas J. Adams of Lynn and his wife Pamela. 3 daughters; Barbara A. Lewis of Lynn and her husband Ron, Cynthia M. Giles of Lynn and her husband Steven and Patricia M. Adams of Lynn. Grandfather of 12 and Great Grandfather of 2. Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Brother of the late Stanley, Harry, Leo and john Adams, Victoria, Agnes and Patricia Adams.

Funeral from the Cuffe ~ McGinn Funeral Home 157 Maple Street, Lynn on Friday at 9:30 A.M. Funeral Mass in Saint Pius V Church at 10:30 A.M. Burial will be private.
