Joyce Babb Obituary

1942 - 2008
Rochester - Joyce C. Babb, 65 of 2 Dustin Terrace, died at her home on Saturday April 5, 2008 after a long illness. Her family was by her side.

Joyce was born in Pittsburg, NH on December 10, 1942 and was the daughter of Hervey and Erma (Howland) Mitchell. She was raised in Laconia as a child, attending schools in that community. She had been a resident of Somersworth for 30 years before moving to Rochester in 2001.

Mrs. Babb was a homemaker and in her earlier adult life was active in the Healing Ministries of Rev. McGuire at St. Joseph Church in Dover.

Family members include her husband Frank Babb of Rochester, her mother Erma Campbell of Laconia. She also leaves her son Robert Babb of Tolland Ct and her daughter Mrs. Raymond (Linda) Tetreault of Tolland Ct. Joyce also leaves her stepbrother, Lonny Campbell of Laconia and her stepsisters, Roxanne Lawrence of Belmont and Marcy Gatanti of Laconia and grandchildren Kaitlyn, Kelly, Kristen and Raymond all of Tolland, Ct. and her step grandmother, Virginia White of Laconia.

Calling hours at Bernier Funeral Home 49 South Street, Somersworth will be on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00am in St. Martin Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Khoueiry as celebrant. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Somersworth.
