Judith Mary Alvin - Brown, 87, died May 13, 2007, at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire after a brief illness. She was born in 1919 at Springfield, Massachusetts, daughter of Charles L. and Pearl Brown - Jackson. After her mothers untimely death in 1931 she moved to Nogales, Arizona, then later Hollywood, California. She Attended Flintridge Academy in La Canada, California and later graduated in Music from Immaculate Heart College in Hollywood. She was an accomplished Pianist, and Vocalist.
“Judy” was also an accomplished equestrienne meeting her husband Joe (deceased, formerly of Sonora, California,) while on a bridal trail in Griffith Park, California. She traveled extensively in Europe and England, living also in Louisiana, Florida, and White River Junction where she moved to be with family, most recently residing at the Brookside Nursing Home.
She retired several years ago after working in the motion picture industry and antique business. Worthy of note was her relationship as production assistant with Clarion Pictures owned by Film Actor Producer, John Carroll and Lucille Ryman Carroll.
She will be remembered for her distinct sense of humor, love of family and animals, especially birds. She also loved camping, fishing, horseback riding, Shetland Ponies and music.
Ms. Alvin is survived by her only son Joe Alvin; 3 grandchildren, all of White River Junction, extended family, and many friends. A Funeral Service will be conducted May 25, 2007, 10 am, at St Anthony’s Catholic Church, White River Junction, Vermont. Her remains are to be interred at the San Fernando Mission Cemetery, San Fernando, California. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Brookside Patient Activity Fund, 1200 Christian St. White River Junction, VT 05001.
