Julia Harp Adams, age 68, of Lonsdale, died, Friday, May 2, 2008.
She was born on March 2, 1940 at Kendallville, Indiana, the daughter of John R. Harp and Luella Warble Harp. She was married to John Adams on December 15, 1961. She is preceded in death by her father, John Rozelle Harp.
She is Baptist by faith and was a registered nurse for 38 years, working for Levi Rehabilitation, St. Joseph’s Medical Center and Saline Memorial in Benton.
She is survived by her husband, John "Snook" Adams of Lonsdale; three daughters and sons-in-law, Melissa and Phil Skaggs of Hot Springs, Pam and Jim Moore of Little Rock and Laura Adams of Lonsdale; her mother, Luella Harp of Amity; two brothers and one sister-in-law, John Henry Harp of Amity and Rev. Jim and Carla Harp of Athens, Georgia; her grandchildren, Jarred Jacobs, Casey Skaggs, Carly Skaggs, Steven Jacobs, Amanda Skaggs, and Caroline Abigail Moore; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, May 5, 2008 in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs with Rev. Jim Harp officiating.
Interment will be held in the Shiloh Cemetery near Pt. Cedar under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs.
Visitation will be held from 2:00-5:00 P.M. Sunday afternoon.
Pallbearers will be Tim Harp, Dale Morrow, Jim Francis, Tommy Adams, Joe Bob Adams, and Jerry Turner.
Honorary pallbearers will be Saline Memorial Hospice staff.
