Leon Robert Adams, Sr., age 77 of Dick Dame Lane in Farmington, died early Monday morning, April 10, 2006 at Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NH.
Born April 22, 1928 in Hanover, New Hampshire, he was a son of the late Forrest and Edith (Seaver) Adams. He resided in Farmington, NH for the past 11 years, having come from Williamstown, Vermont.
A United States Naval Veteran, in June of 1946, he served aboard the USS Sicily. On February 13, 1949, he married his high school sweetheart, Theresa A. Dubuque at Sacred Heart Church in Lebanon, NH.
He was employed as a Manager with Electrical Wholesalers in Vermont, where he worked for 29 years.
Leon enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping. He also enjoyed doing woodcrafts. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years: Theresa Adams of Farmington, NH, 2 daughters: Dianna S. & husband Norman Hayford of Barre, VT, Lynn M. & husband Steve Couture of Rochester, NH, 7 grandchildren: Sherrel A. Whittemore, Holly J. Pembroke, Ryan K. Wilson, Ashley L. Wilson, Adam T. Wilson, Tina M. Bernier and Vicki L. Rivers, 8 Great Grandchildren: Tyler S. Whittemore, Paige K. Whittemore, Julian S. Sanborn, Drake M. Wilson, Cassandra Bernier, Chantel A. Bernier, Erin Rivers and Ella H. Pembroke, a brother: Howard Adams of Enfield, NH, a daughter in law: Jean Adams of Williamstown, VT, a sister in law: Norma Adams of White River Junction, VT, a brother in law: Robert & wife Betty Dubuque of VA, also many Nieces and Nephews. He was pre-deceased by his son: Leon Robert Adams, Jr. in May of 2005 and 2 brothers: Conrad Adams & Roger Adams.
