Zephyrhills, Florida: Lionel W. Albert 86 of Zephyrhills, Fla. And Rochester, NH died on September 23, 2006 in Florida. He was born in St. Agath, ME. on January 25, 1920. Mr. Albert was a veteran of World War II, serving with the Army in France. After the war, he settled in Rochester, NH with his wife Dorothy (Hatch) Albert. He worked for Petersons Motor Freight, owned Albert’s Chevron Station, and worked for Towles Garage in Rochester and Emersons Chevrolet in Somersworth. They moved to Florida 20 years ago. In Florida, Mr. Albert worked with the maintenance department at the Sleepy Hollow Mobile Home Park in Zephyrhills.
Mr. Albert liked to play the guitar, sing, play golf, listening to music and dancing. He loved to build, repair, and maintain things and was quite the handyman.
Family includes his wife Dorothy (Hatch) Albert of Florida, a son Barry Albert and his wife Andrea of Concord; two sisters Marie Cosgrove of Maine, Corrine Faroni of Connecticut. Four grandchildren Megan Albert and her fiancé, Timothy Healey of Baltimore MD, Jeremy, Ryan and Sarah Albert of Concord and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the H. J. Grondin & Son Funeral Home, 177 North Main Street, Rochester, NH on Thursday from 8:30 to 9:45 AM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Thursday at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 189 North Main Street, Rochester, NH, followed by burial in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Cemetery.
