Lois Batchelder Almond, age 85, of Hot Springs, died Tuesday, June 14, 2005.
She was born on July 17, 1919, at Bemidji, Minnesota, the daughter of Glen Saddler and Margaret Condon Saddler. She was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Harold Saddler, Everett Saddler, and Floyd Saddler.
She was a member of the Eastern Star in Glenwood, Westminster Presbyterian Church and she was a reitred owner from Kirks Resort in Bena, Minnesota.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Freda Batchelder of Hot Springs; three grandchildren and their spouses, Linda and Al Malmstedt, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Tonja and Roger Black of Sulphur, Louisiana, and Jamey and Jill Thornton of Ventura, California; five great-grandchildren, Alex Malmstedt and Ryan Malmstedt, both of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Lyndsay Black and Katie Black, both of Sulphur, Louisiana, and Natalie Thornton of Ventura, California; one sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Jim Shaw of Talmadge, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 18, 2005, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs, with Rev. Bill Seitz under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs.
