Mrs. Mabel A. Barna, 91, formerly of 68 Lancaster St., Franklin, died at Franklin Regional Hospital on April 27, 2008.
She was born in Franklin on Jan. 26, 1917 the daughter of Rose (LeClair) Roy and Meltheno Clark.
She was a Franklin resident most of her life but also resided in Rochester, NH for 20 years. While in Rochester, she worked at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard and Rochester Shoe Co. She later worked at Cormier Dress Shop in Franklin prior to retiring.
Mabel enjoyed Holiday dinners, going out to eat, and candlepin bowling. She was the widow of Joseph Barna who died in 1984. She was a communicant of St. Paul Church.
Family members include three sisters: Gloria Croteau of Tilton, Jo-Anne Stevens of Belmont, and Linda LaPierre of Franklin, a brother: Robert Clark of Tilton, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Wilfred Allaire in 1958, and a son, Richard Allaire in 1961.
There are no visiting hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, May 2nd at 10:00 am in St. Paul Church, School St., Franklin followed by burial in Holy Cross Cemetery.
