Marlene Faye Rocke Adams, 72, died July 3, 2007 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. She was born on November 3, 1934 to Norman Rocke and Alice Charbono Rocke. She was born in Grand Isle, Vermont and graduated from Enfield High School in 1952. She was married August 9, 1952 to Charles S. Adams.
Mrs. Adams along with her husband owned and operated the Pleasant Valley Store for 12 years. She retired as a bookkeeper from Cole’s Flooring of White River Junction and West Lebanon Following 20 years of employment. Mrs. Adams also enjoyed cooking, Red Sox, camping, and her family.
She is survived by her husband, two sons Brian Adams of Henderson, Nevada, Norman Adams of Enfield, and one daughter Charlene Ashey of Lebanon. She is also survived by seven brothers Jim Williams, Rod, Robert, Melvin, Steven, Gary, and Scott Rocke; along with three sisters Norma Cole, Bonnie Rardin, Sherry Rocke Demers, six Grandchildren, and two Great Grandchildren.
Friends and family are invited to calling hours Sunday, July 8th from 4 to 6 PM at Ricker Funeral Home in Lebanon. Graveside services will be held Monday, July 9 at 1:30 PM in the Canaan Street Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice of Vermont and New Hampshire at P.O. box 976 White River Junction, VT 05001-0976.
