Marnette Allen, age 82, of Hot Springs went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 31, 2005.
She was born on November 29, 1922 at Hot Springs the daughter of Sam Evans and Euna Mae Higdon Evans. She was married to Jeff Allen on January 22, 1947. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
She was a member of the Lakeshore Heights Baptist Church. Her greatest love was sharing her witness of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
She is survived by two daughters, Myra Anne Langston and Linda Kay Hibbs both of Hot Springs; three grandsons, Trey Hibbs and his wife Schasta of Greenbrier, Chris Isom and his wife Missy and Toby Hibbs, all of Hot Springs; her granddaughter, Holly Hibbs, of Hot Springs; four great-grandchildren, Nikki and Taylor Isom of Hot Springs and Aubrey and Emma Hibbs of Greenbrier; one brother and sister-in-law, J. B. and Carolyn Evans of Glenwood; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Ada and Wayne Moore and Geral and Ed Sanders all of Hot Springs and Wanda and Brent Page of Beufort, South Carolina; one sister-in-law, Doris Pine of Hot Springs; one aunt, Esther Evans of Hot Springs; and several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, February 4, 2005 in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs, with Rev. Rick Porter, Rev. Glenn Nicholson and Rev. J. B. Evans officiating.
Interment will be in the Tranquil Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs.
Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
Pallbearers will be Craig Davidson, Larry Sanders, Jeff Evans, Greg Evans, Chris Isom and Trey Hibbs.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Allam Alkowatli, attending physicians and the I.C.U. staff at National Park Medical Center.
Memorials may be made to the Lakeshore Heights Baptist Church.
