ADENAUER, Maryland Brighton, 83, of Colonial Heights, passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2011, at Southside Regional Medical Center. She was born in West Long Branch, New Jersey, and was the daughter of the late Alvin and Lillian Rose Robbins Brighton. She attended public schools in Asbury Park and Ocean Township, New Jersey. She attended Farleigh Dickinson University in New Brunswick, New Jersey, and graduated with a Humanities of Arts Degree. Mrs. Adenauer is survived by her husband, Charles G. Adenauer; sons, Andy Adenauer, Carl Adenauer, Barry Adenauer and wife, Angela, all of Colonial Heights; daughters, Holly Kenney of Roanoke, Leslie Tyler and husband, Joe, of Colonial Heights, Carol Warro of Colonial Heights, and Cheryl Howerton and husband, Frankie, of Colonial Heights; 28 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 26, 2011, in Wesley United Methodist Church, 3701 Conduit Rd., Colonial Heights, Va. 23834, with Roger Green officiating. Interment Sunset Memorial Park, Chester. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E.
