Maurice Van Gundy Anchor
Maurice Van Gundy Anchor of College Park, Maryland, died Sunday, November 1, 2009, in Lanham, Maryland.
He was the beloved husband of the late Lillian Marie Anchor.
He was born February 7, 1932, in Washington D.C., a son of Martin and Corrinna Anchor.
He is survived by three children and their spouses, Donna Ferrari and her husband, Robert, Mark Anchor and his wife, Leslie, and Brian Anchor, and his wife, Laura Clark Anchor; nine grandchildren, Courtney Ferrari, Robert Ferrari Jr., Kristy Ferrari, Sydney Anchor, Caroline Anchor, Hailey Anchor, Tyler Anchor, Andrew Anchor and Morgan Anchor; and two sisters, Meg Murphy and Roberta Warren.
Services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, November 6, 2009, at McDow Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Thursday, November 5, 2009, at McDow Funeral Home, 1701 West Main Street, Waynesboro, Virginia 22980.
