Maurice Bryce Obituary

1928 - 2004
EAST FAIRFIELD – Maurice J. Bryce, age 76, passed away Thursday morning November 18, 2004 at his home.

He was born April 15, 1928 in Fletcher the son of the late Alene Bryce.

He was a life long resident of East Fairfield where he was one of the founding members of the East Fairfield Fire Dept. He was employed as an electrician and carpenter with his father-in-law, Joe Rooney and sons and also with Terri McQuin for many years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion Post #42 of Enosburg Falls and the V.F.W. Robert Glidden Post of St. Albans. Maurice enjoyed doing word searches, fishing, hunting and taking rides.

He is survived by his wife, Audria (Rooney) Bryce of East Fairfield they were married November 29, 1952 at St. Mary’s Church in Cambridge. He is also survived by his children, Jeff Bryce and his wife Patti of Fairfield, Mary Hislop and her husband Rodney of Highgate Ctr., Carl Bryce and his partner Michael Delaney of Westford, Cara Parrott and her husband William of Milton, and Alton Bryce and his wife Anne of Bakersfield; 5 grandchildren, Sarah Bryce, Kyle Hislop, Alex Bryce, Kylie Bryce, and Ryan Bryce and an expected grandchild in April; 1 sister, Gyneth Smith of Bakersfield. Besides his mother he was predeceased by his step father, Harry LaMonda, and a sister, Kathleen Lumbra

Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:00 at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls with Pastor Marshall True officiating. Interment will take place at a later date at the convenience of the family in St. Georges Cemetery in Bakersfield.

Visiting hours will be held Saturday evening from 6-9 at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls.
