Mildred Aultman

Mildred McCrary Aultman, 91 of Columbus, MS passed away Monday, August 16, 2010 at her home surrounded by her family.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 18, 2010 from 6 PM to 8 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, August 19, 2010 at 11 AM at Fairview Baptist Church, Columbus, MS with Rev. Mickey Dalrymple, Rev. Sammy Crawford and Rev. Jeff James officiating. Interment will be in Friendship Cemetery, Columbus, MS; Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing.

Mrs. Aultman was born July 21, 1919 in Columbus, MS to the late William Fortson and Kittie Lou Ellis Fortson. She was a lifetime resident of Columbus, MS. Mrs. Aultman was a retired loan officer at AMBAC Credit Union with 18 years of service. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, liked to read and was a member of the Tuesday Card Club. Mrs. Aultman was also a member of Fairview Baptist Church, Columbus, MS where she was a member of the Widow’s Mite Sunday School Class. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Horace Aultman.

Mrs. Aultman is survived by her son, Bill (Sandy) Aultman, Columbus, MS; daughter, Kittie (Sam) Laffoon, Columbus, MS; grandchildren, Bryan (Lou Ann) Laffoon, Tori (David) Alexander, Erin Aultman, Justin (Maia) Aultman, Reagan Aultman; great grandchildren, Riley Laffoon, Kace Laffoon, Watson Laffoon and Evan Alexander; special caregivers are her niece, Martha Lollar, Nephew, Allen McCrary and family friend, Johnnie Harris.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Abrams, Jay Hollenbeck, Steve Foreman, Hal Larkin, Butch Reed and Andy Boyd. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Widow’s Mite Sunday School Class and members of the Tuesday Card Club.
