Myrtle B. Adams, age 84 of Pine Street in Alton, NH died early Monday morning June 30, 2003 at the Sunbridge Care and Rehabilitation of Wolfeboro after a period of failing health.
Born December 3, 1918 in Newfoundland, the daughter of the late John and Jennie (Brennan) Butt. Raised and had resided in Chelsea, MA she had graduated from Chelsea High School, Moving to Alton, NH in 1954.
Myrtle had worked as a Treasurer for the Union Telephone Co. of Farmington, NH, having retired in 1989.
A member of the Community Church of Alton since 1954, member of the Warren-Alpha Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, member of the Womens Christian Fellowship of the church, She had enjoyed Gardening and being with family.
Widow of the late Warren L. Adams Sr. who died June 22, 1994, she is survived by 2 Sons: Warren L. and his wife Ardis Adams Jr. of Round Rock, Texas, William R. and his wife Brenda Adams of Dover, NH 1 Daughter: Patricia "Pisha" and her husband Allan Wentworth of Alton, NH, 1 Brother: Wiliam R. and his wife Vera Butt of Chelsea, MA. 11 Grandchildren, 9 Great grandchildren, several nieces and 1 nephew.
Calling hours will be held on wednesday evening July 2, 2003 from 7-9 at the C.E. Peaslee & Son Funeral Home 32 CENTRAL STREET, FARMINGTON, NH Funeral service will be held at the Community church of Alton at the Baptist Meeting House on Main Street in Alton on Thursday morning July 3, 2003 at 10:00am with the Rev.
