Otis R. Anderson, Sr., age 78, of Hot Springs, died Monday, February 21, 2005.
He was born on March 9, 1926 at Jessieville, the son of Amazar Anderson and Nellie Murders Anderson. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Ollie Mae Anderson, three daughters, Betty Anderson, Thelma Michael and Deretha Bradshaw; four brothers, George Anderson, Mitchell Anderson, Lewis Anderson and Edward Anderson and two sisters, Maudie Anderson and Margaret Anderson.
He was a retired landscaper and was a Methodist by faith.
He is survived by seven sons and four daughters-in-law, Otis Robert Anderson Jr., Alvin and Ronda Anderson, William and Mary Webb, Earl and Joy Webb and Bill Johnson all of Hot Springs, Edward and Joyce Anderson of Story and Hershell Weston of Wisconsin; 5 daughters, Linda Angel, Bertha Droke, Mary Diggs, Verna Webb Lowery all of Hot Springs and Jamie Mitchell of Bastrop, Louisiana; several grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and three sisters, Pauline Thurman, Mary Burnett and Joann Swayze all of Hot Springs; and several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 26, 2005 in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs with Brother Jimmy Turner officating.
Interment will be in the Lowe Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Friday evening.
Pallbearers will be Larry Thurman, Mike Winningham, Jerry Pamplin, Jeffery Lowery
Honorary pallbearers will be St. Joseph’s Mercy Health Center staff, Dr. Terri T. Blackstock, Dr. Martin A. Hannon, Dr. Robert D. Johnson and the staff of Quapaw Health and Rehab.
