Paul Ainslie Obituary

Paul W. Ainslie 76, of Peabody, formerly of Lynn died on Sunday at a local nursing home following a brief illness. He is the husband of Barbara C. (d’Entremont) Ainslie with whom he shared over 51 years of marriage.

Born and educated in Lynn, son of the late Joseph B. and Anne E. (Burns) Ainslie, he is a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

He worked for General Electric Company as an inspector in the turbine division for over 43 years retiring in 1988. Mr. Ainslie was a member of the Peabody Elks and the Ancient Order of Hibernians of Salem. He was an avid golfer and sports enthusiast.

In addition to his wife, he leaves 2 daughters, Lois L. Downey of Peabody and her husband James, Sharon A. Alicea of NH; a son Dennis J. Ainslie of NH. and his wife Nancy, a brother Robert Ainslie of IL. , 3 sisters, Eleanor Landry, Annmarie Johnson and Joanne Cramer all of Lynn.

Grandfather of 6 grandchildren and uncle of several nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home 157 Maple Street Lynn on Friday at 10:00am. Funeral Mass in St. John the Baptist Church in Peabody at 11:00am. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery at a later date.
