Enfield, NH—Peter Ashton, 65, died at his home in Enfield on Monday July 26, 2010. Pete was born on March 2, 1945 in Cincinnati, OH to the late William Aloysius & Edythe Joan (Hendrickson) Ashton.
He graduated from John H Glenn High School in Elwood NY in 1963. In 1967 he enlisted in the Marines where he was stationed at Camp Lejeune, NC, serving as a medic for the US Navy.
For the past 10 years he had been working for Dartmouth-Hitchcock Memorial Hospital as a Patient Care Representative.
He is survived by his wife Debby Ashton of Enfield, NH; four siblings, Elizabeth Mauceri of Sag Harbor, NY, Rosemary Ashton of Cincinnati, OH, William Ashton of Kennett Square, PA and Mark Ashton of Bradford, NH; nieces, nephews and one great-nephew; three step children, Marla Polanco of Lynn, MA, Patrick Neily of Enfield, NH and Matthew Hubbell of Cape Elizabeth, ME; four grandchildren.
There will be no calling hours. A service is planned at the Cornish Center NH church on August 14, 2010 at 2 pm. A private graveside service will be held at a later date in the Vermont Veterans Cemetery in Randolph, VT.
