Merrimack, NH – Robert C. Annis, 75 of Merrimack died Thursday December 8, 2005 at his home after a valiant, courageous battle with cancer.
Mr. Annis was born in Hingham, MA on April 28, 1930 a son of the late Arthur & Elizabeth (Stewart) Annis.
He graduated from Boston English High School and Northeastern University.
Mr. Annis was a U.S. Army veteran serving from 1959 to 1961. He later moved to Merrimack in 1963, where he worked for 25 years at Sanders Assoc., retiring in 1990.
In his life: Mr. Annis served on the Merrimack Budget Comm. and was a Boy Scout Leader and a Scout Master for Troop 15 from 1965 until 1982. He loved the outdoors, camping, reading and an avid walker. He also enjoyed spending his winters in New Port Richey, FL.
Mr. Annis also recently completed a 10 year project working on his family’s genealogy, which he compiled in book form and gave to family members as gifts.
Mr. Annis is predeceased by a son Kevin who died in 1981 while serving in the US Coast Guard.
Other family members include his wife of 48 years Phyllis (Cook) Annis of Merrimack, 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Arthur and Mary Annis, and Keith and Gail Annis, all of Manchester, a daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Lonnie Bailey of Pasadena, TX., the lights of his life; his grandchildren, Kevin of Merrimack, Stephen, James, Mikaela and Aarra of Manchester, Angela and Mary of Pasadena, TX.
Calling hours will be held at the George R. Rivet Funeral Home 425 Daniel Webster Highway Merrimack, NH Monday from 7PM to 9PM, and funeral services will be Tuesday at 11AM in the funeral home. Burial will be at Last Rest Cemetery of Merrimack.
