Robert L. Alvers Jr., 61, of Homewood, Illinois, a retired Service Technician for Northern Illinois Gas, passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2000. Resting Sunday, May 21, 2000, 2-8 p.m., at Tews Funeral Home, 18230 South Dixie Highway, Homewood. Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, May 22, 11 a.m. Interment will be at the family lot.
