Vincent Lisicky Obituary

1927 - 2003
Vincent A. Lisicky, Sr., 76, of Blairsville, PA died on Thursday, April 3, 2003 in the Indiana Hospital, Indiana, PA.

He was born February 23, 1927 in Blairsville, PA, a son of Vincent and Stella Zias Lisicky.

Mr. Lisicky was a member of the SS Simon & Jude R.C. Church, Blairsville, PA, Italian Mutual Aid Society and the Slovak Club.

Prior to his retirement in 1992, he was employed by Blairsville Machine Products for 42 years.

He was a veteran of the US Army.

Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Ruby A. O’Barto Lisicky to whom he married January 31, 1949; a son Vincent A. Lisicky, Jr. and his wife, Cindy, Blairsville, PA; two daughters, Rhonda Barr and her husband, Bill, Pittsburgh, PA and Monica DeCarlo, Sylva, North Carolina; five grandchildren, Amanda Shirley, Rachelle DeCarlo, Justin Lisicky, Jason Barr and Zachary Lisicky; one great granddaughter; two brothers, Joseph Lisicky, Florida and George Hoke, Jr., Blairsville, PA; three sisters, Mary Campbell, Blairsville, PA; Pat Horrell, Clarksburg, PA and Bernie Pustay, Philadelphia, PA.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Debra and Carole Lisicky and a sister, Jane Wolford.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., 49 N. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA. Services will be held in the funeral home on Sunday at 3:00 P.M. with Rev. Charles S. Kitner officiating.

Interment will be in SS Simon & Jude Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.
