Virginia Jo Cook, 75, a resident since 1990 of Fraser, Michigan, who dedicated her life to her loving husband and children, died at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Mt. Clemens, Michigan, on Thursday, January 30, 2003. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, February 5, 2003, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Road, Fraser. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, 2 p.m., at the funeral home. My mom and Jo were Sunday School secretaries at Redemption. I have such fond memories of sitting around the office after Sunday School was over and just talking (me, my mom, Jo and Scott). Even now I can see her bright smile and sparkling eyes. Back then Jo wore Cinnabar perfume and I thought it smelled so wonderful on her. I thought the scent was so great, I went out and bought some for myself (without even trying it!); I was disappointed to find it did not smell nearly as good on me. ...

I knew your Mom from Redemption Church. My maiden name was Sass. Jo was my Sunday School teacher when I was in the beginners dept. I remember thinking how pretty she was. Many years later she and my Mom worked together in the Sunday School office. My daughter Jennifer and your Mom have been corrosponding for the last few years.
