Yvonne Louise Bourgeois, 103, of Bedford, formerly of Manchester, died May 24, 2008 at Harborside Healthcare Center.
Mrs. Bourgeois was born June 14, 1904 in Three Rivers, Quebec to Joseph and Emma (Lagace) Dumont. She attended primary schools there.
She worked as a stitcher for Pandora Co. for 15 years prior to her retirement. She was very artistic and enjoyed painting and doing ceramics.
She was a lifelong communicant of Ste. Marie Church and a great adorer of Our Lady of Fatima.
Mrs. Bourgeois was a pleasant lady and everyone at Harborside loved her and will miss her. She loved her family and looked forward to the daily calls and visits from her son and daughter which they made for many years.
She was the widow of Donat Bourgeois and she was predeceased by a son, Roland Bourgeois in 2003
Members of her family include her son and his wife, Maurice and Irene Bourgeois of Bedford, a daughter and her husband, Lorraine and Stanley Davis of North Andover, Mass, 16 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, a brother, Alcide Dumont of Manchester, nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, May 28, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., at the Durning, Bykowski & Young Funeral Home, 285 Manchester St., corner of Beech St. Manchester, followed by the funeral liturgy at Ste. Marie Church, 378 Notre Dame Ave. at 12 noon.
Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
