Louis Kensta Obituary

1917 - 2006
Louis J. Kensta age 88 of Applebee Road in Milton Mills, NH died Saturday morning April 8, 2006 at the Rochester Manor in Rochester, NH.

Born July 26, 1917 in Brookville (Holbrook), Massachusetts, the son of the late Ludwig and Helena (Burba) Kenstavicious. He was raised in Brookville moving to Braintree, Massachusetts residing there for many years before purchasing his home in Milton Mills, NH in the early 1970’s and moving there over 25 years ago after building a new home here.

He had retired from the Spaulding Fibre Company in N. Rochester working as a Tool and Die maker and trouble shooter. Before moving to NH he worked as a Tool and Die Maker for the Excell Tool and Die Co. in Quincy, MA.

A Communicant of St. Anthony’s Parish in Sanbornville, and member of the Knights of Columbus, member of the Sons of Italy, had been very active in the churches he had attended.

Louis enjoyed classical music, cooking, gardening, feeding his birds and his chipmunk, a wildlife enthusiast. He was very proud of his Lithuanian heritage.

He was the widower of the late Evelyn M. (DiNatale).

Survivors include: 1 Son John L. Kensta of Tijeres, New Mexico, 3 Daughters: Katherine M. Abelson of Worcester, MA, Monica H. Vander Baan and her husband Lee of Thompson, CT, Joan L. Winterbottom of Holliston, MA, 1 Sister: Lucy Alger of Sanford, ME, 4 Grandchildren: Christopher Kensta of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Elisa Abelson and Jeremy Abelson both of Worcester, MA, Simeon Lee Vander Baan of Thompson, CT, 1 Cousin. He was predeceased by 1 Brother: Rev. Felix J. Kensta.

Calling hours will be on Tuesday April 11, 2006 from 2-4 and 6-8 at the Peaslee Funeral Home 24 Central Street Farmington, NH. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday April 12, 2006 at 10:00am at the St. Anthony’s Church in Sanbornville (Wakefield), NH with the Rev. NormanJ. Simoneau celebrant and Fr. Edmund A. Babicz as concelebrant. Interment will follow at the Milton mills Cemetery.
