1952 - 2006
*MICHAEL LEE CRUEA* age 54 of Burr Oak, Michigan died Tuesday September 5, 2006 at his home following a nine month battle with cancer.

He was born May 13, 1952 in Dayton, Ohio a son to LeRoy Joseph & Velma Elizabeth (Wray) Cruea, Sr.

Mike had resided in Burr Oak since 1988, prior to that he had lived in Sturgis, Howe, IN, Mongo, IN, Dallas, TX, Longview TX and Dayton, OH.

On December 4, 1975 he married Mary Lou (Keeslar) Williams.

For 36 years he was an over the road truck driver, the last three years he was a self employed owner operator.

Since 1988 he had been a member of the Sturgis Church of the Nazarene.

He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Mary Lou, his Mother, Velma Cruea of Burr Oak, his children, Elizabeth Marie & Rodney Bowman of Burr Oak, Hollissa Elaine Masoner of St. Joseph, MO, Laurie Anne & Benjamin Blosser of Burr Oak, Jacques LeRoy & Rhonda Cruea of Indianapolis, IN, 5 Brothers, Roger & Barbara Cruea of Texas, Allen & Shirley Cruea of Tennessee, LeRoy & Lupe Cruea of New Mexico, John Cruea of Sturgis and Richard & Diana Cruea of Howe, IN, 1 Sister, Pamela & Jeffrey Smith of Lebanon, MO, 14 Grandchildren, 27 nieces and nephews, 15 Great Nieces and Nephews, numerous neighborhood kids he considered his own and far too many friends to list.

He was preceded in death by his father and 1 sister, Alice Kay Cruea.

Then family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday at the *HACKMAN-Foglesong Funeral Home* of Sturgis. Funeral services celebrating the life of Michael Cruea will be held at 10:30 A.M. Friday at the Sturgis Church of the Nazarene. The Rev. David Potts will officiate. A graveside committal will follow the service at the Burr Oak Cemetery in Burr Oak, MI.

The family suggests those wishing to make a memorial donation in Mr. Cruea’s memory consider Hospice of Sturgis or the American Cancer Society.
