Margaret Purcell, 53, of George Street, Attleboro, formerly of Holbrook, MA and Maine and Florida, a former sales representative for Bradlee’s Department Store, died Sunday, April 10, 2005 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro.
Born in Quincy, MA on May 17, 1951, Ms. Purcell was a step-daughter of Kaye McDonnell Purcell of Maine and daughter of the late William J. and Anna E. (McDonnell) Purcell.
Ms. Purcell was raised in Dorchester and educated in Boston schools. She was a sales representative for many years at the former Bradlee’s Department Store in Randolph, retiring twenty years ago. A resident of Attleboro since January, Ms. Purcell formerly resided in Holbrook, MA, Maine and Florida. She enjoyed her cats, crocheting and collecting Walt Disney memorabilia.
In addition to her step-mother, Ms. Purcell is survived by two brothers: James M. and his wife, Maureen Purcell of Pawtucket, RI and William J. Purcell of Middleboro, MA; three sisters: Mary and her husband, Henry LaBelle of Taunton, Catherine and her husband, Richard Neagle of West Haven, CT and Dorothy and her husband, William Kenerson of Middleboro, MA; two step-brothers: Michael McDonnell of Attleboro and Robert McDonnell of Maine; two step-sisters: Ann Marie Toita of Hawaii and Miriam Fujiama of Maine; and fourteen nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be conducted on Wednesday, April 13, 2005 at 8 AM from the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck Street, Attleboro. Followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 AM in St. John the Evangelist Church, 133 North Main Street, Attleboro celebrated by the Rev. Msgr. Daniel F. Hoye, pastor.
Burial will be private.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, April 12th from 5 PM – 8 PM in the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home.
