1929 - 2003
RICHFORD / ST.PETERSBURG, FL - Norbert Paul Bergeron, age 74, of 577 Jay Rd., Richford was suddenly called to his heavenly home on May 6, 2003 in Calhoun Falls, S.C. where he was spending time camping and enjoying his children.

He was born in Franklin, VT on April 11, 1929 the son of the late Phillip & Bernadette (Larose) Bergeron.

He was a member of All Saints Catholic Church in Richford and also attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in St. Petersburg, FL. He was a representative of FMO in St. Petersburg and was a board member and very active in the Tropical Garden RO Assoc. where he enjoyed the winter months.

Norbert was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather who was always there for his family whenever needed. He gave us all the gift of love and encouragement. He loved people and never met a stranger. He loved the peace and tranquillity of walking in the woods. He was a farmer and was owner/operator of a logging business for over 40 years. After retirement he worked several summers operating heavy equipment for various construction companies in VT. & NH.

Norbert is survived by his loving & devoted wife, Katherine (Wing) Bergeron; he is also survived by his 3 daughters and their husbands, Claudette "Polly" & Leo Gendron, Jennifer & Dale Tessier, and Jilda & Danny Vermillion all of Donalds, SC; grandchildren include, Jaime, Shannon, Katie, Kailey, Matthew Tessier, Courtney, Amber & Abigail Juliette Vermillion; he leaves his brothers and their wives, Lawrence & Solange Bergeron of Plattsburg, NY, Albert & Ann Desrochers of Franklin, Marcel & Gail Bergeron of Fairport, NY and, Dennis & Shirley Bergeron of Torrington, CT; his sisters and their husbands, Veronica & Emile Larose of Ganesvoort, NY, Patricia & Cecil Greenwood of Torrington, CT, and Annicette & George LaCoste of Sheldon; several nieces and nephews; he also leaves a special friend, Mike Daudelin of Richford, who was like a son to him. He was predeceased by a brother, John Bergeron and a sister, Ginette Bergeron.

A mass of Christian burial was held on May 10, 2003 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Abbeville, SC.

A graveside committal service will be held Monday May 19, 2003 at 11:00 at the Richford Center Cemetery with Rev. Frank Eksterowicz officiating.
