Mary Ann Agosta, 94, a former resident of Latham, New York where she resided with her son and daughter in law and more recently a resident of Williamstown Commons in Williamstown, MA died peacefully on Thursday April 17, 2008.
Born in Austin, Illinois August 24, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Gaetano and Carmela (Cirone) Cirone. She received her education in Austin, Illinois. Mary Ann married Tony Frank Agosta March 15, 1947. Mr. Agosta died in 1971.
In earlier years Mary Ann worked with her sisters in a beauty shop and later as a commercial teller, all in Chicago.
She was a member of various golf and craft clubs in Palm Desert, California where she lived for 21 years. She was also a member of the Sons of Italy in America..
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Donald Diane Sgosta of Latham, New York; two grandsons, Brian and Mark Agosta; three nephews John DeMarco, Thomas Guy DeMarco and Vernon Thomas Doria; two nieces Janine DeMarco and Donna Vieira; several great nieces, great nephews and cousins, She was pre-deceased by three sisters and two brothers, Virginia Stangarone, Rose Marie Doria, Frances DeMarco, Dominick Cirone and infant Dominick Cirone.
Funeral services will take place in Los Angeles, California with burial in Calvary Cemetery in Los Angeles.
