John Marshall "Buzz" Amos

John Marshall "Buzz" Amos, 70, of Culpeper, Virginia passed away Sunday, September 28, 2008 in the Culpeper Regional Hospital. Mr. Amos was born to John Thomas Amos and Gertrude Hughes Amos, February 16, 1938 in Charlottesville, Virginia; retired from Virginia Department of Transportation after 49 years of service; was a member of the Army National Guard; was a member of the American Legion Post 330 serving as Financial Officer for 30 plus years and was a past member of the Jaycees.

Surviving Mr. Amos is his wife Linda Diane Amos of Culpeper, Virginia; his daughters, Lynn Amos of Fishersville, Virginia, Lori Snider of Fishersville, Virginia and Lisa Hall of Madison, Virginia; his siblings, Jane Griffith and her husband Floyd of Culpeper, Virginia and Willie Amos and his wife Tonya of Orange, Virginia and his grandchildren, Bryan Preddy and Kelsey Snider. His parents precede him in death.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 2, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Clore-English Funeral Home with Rev. Sandy Martin conducting the service. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery with military honors provided by the American Legion Post 330 and V.F.W. Post 2524 Honor Guards. The family will receive friends one hour before service time.
