 Arne H. Lundquist formerly of Mount Prospect Visitation for Arne H. Lundquist, 81, of Machesney Park, Ill., will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday, at Matz Funeral Home, 410 E. Rand Road, Mount Prospect. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 20, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights. Born May 31, 1927, in Chicago, to Albreckt and Agda (nee Anderson) Lundquist, he died Tuesday, April 14, 2009, at home in Machesney Park, after a long and strong battle against lung cancer. Arne owned and operated Lundquist Painting and Decorating for 27 years. He was an avid pilot of small aircraft and loved woodworking. He served in the Navy during World War II and was stationed on Guam as a fireman first class USNR. He was the beloved husband for 62 years of Jane E. (nee Lindquist); loving father of Linda (Robert) Molitor, Donna Lundquist and Arne S. (Lynda); dear grandfather of Kirsten (Dennis) Dunlap, Bill (Norma) Soukup, Jeritt Soukup, Bob (Lisa) Molitor, Andy (Jamie) Molitor, Eric Molitor, Cara Molitor, Lauren Molitor, Mark (Elisa) Molitor, Cindy Molitor, Cheryl Molitor-Powell, Carolyn (Dan) Sands-Molitor, and Jennifer, Melissa and Heather Lundquist; great-grandfather of Baylee, Brandon, Lyndsee, Lukas, Austin, Ethan, Ryan, Katelyn, Kelsey, Riley, Jennifer, Alexander, Thomas, Jessica, Daniel, Nicholas, Samantha and Robert; fond brother of Frances (Richard) Ilker, Roy (Janice) and Charles (Angie), and the late Clarence, Juergen, Arthur and Sven; and uncle of many nieces and nephews.
