Helen K. Blevens, 95, of Manchester, died July 30, 2009 at St. Teresa Monor.
Ms. Blevens was born in Manchester, June 19, 1914 to Victor and Maryana (Piotrowski) Irzyk. She attended local schools and was a lifelong resident of this city.
Ms. Blevens worked as a weaver at Arms Textiles and prior to her retirement, she worked at GTE Sylvania in Manchester
She was a communicant of St. Hedwig Church.
Members of her family include 4 sons: Clarence G. Blevens Jr., Richard W. Blevens, both of Candia, Kenneth E. Blevens of Bow, Bruce J. Blevens of Lincoln, 3 daughters; Beverly White and Elizabeth Garon both of Auburn, Patricia Duquette of Hampton, 25 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, 19 great great grandchildren, a sister; Antoinette Carrie of Santa Anna, California.
She was predeceased by a sister, Victoria Goss.
Calling hours are Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Durning, Bykowski & Young Funeral Home, 285 Manchester St., corner of Beech St.
A graveside service is Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Hedwig Cemetery, Bedford.
