Michael Anderson Obituary

1957 - 2009
Michael Paul Anderson, 51, of Fieldstone Lane, Attleboro, passed away in the Philip Hulitar Center, Providence on Thursday, August 6, 2009. He was the husband of Theresa (Zielinski) Anderson, whom he married on September 11, 1983 in St. Mary’s Church, Foxboro.

Born in Taunton, MA on September 6, 1957, he was a son of Lloyd Kenneth Anderson and Laura Jeanne (Jette) Anderson of Mansfield. Michael was raised in Mansfield and was a graduate of Mansfield High School, Class of 1975. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in MIS from Northeastern University in 2000.

Michael was employed for the past thirty-three years by Invensys in Foxboro, where he worked as a manufacturing supervisor in the Intelligent Automation Division.

Michael was a resident of Attleboro for the past twenty two years, and a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church. He was a member of the Attleboro Elks and an active volunteer for the Attleboro youth soccer and baseball leagues. He was an avid fan of the Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics, Bruins, Revolution, and Breakers. Michael also enjoyed fishing, skiing, camping, canoeing, Cape Cod, and motorcycles.

In addition to his wife Theresa and parents Lloyd and Laura Anderson, Michael is survived by a daughter: Jacqueline Anderson, a graduate student at Brown University, and a son: Michael Anderson, a student at American University in Washington, DC. Also survived by seven brothers: Ken and his wife Lori Anderson of Rehoboth, Robert and his wife Denise of Foxboro, Tom and his wife Annette Anderson of Mansfield, Steve and his wife Meg Anderson of Mansfield, Mark and his wife Karen Anderson of Norton, Jim and his wife Pam Anderson of Norton, and John and his wife Debra Anderson of Mansfield, a sister: Laura and her husband Dave Bouchard of Mansfield, and thirty-six nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, August 10, 2009 from 4PM – 8 PM in the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck Street, Attleboro. A funeral will be conducted on Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at 10:30 AM from the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM in St. John the Evangelist Church, 133 North Main Street, Attleboro, celebrated by Rev. Richard Roy, Pastor. Mr. Anderson will be laid to rest in St. John’s Cemetery, West Street, Attleboro.
