Robert Adam Obituary

Mr. Robert L. Adam, Jr., 55, of Rose Circle, Peabody died Sunday in Brigham & Womens Hospital after a lengthy illness, surrounded by his family. He was husband of Patricia N. (Kelleher) Adam.

Born in Lynn, son of the late Robert L. & Margaret (Quinn) Adam, Sr., he was a graduate of Peabody High School, Class of 1967, and attended North Shore Community College. He was a resident of Peabody for most of his life. He was a U. S. Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War.

He was employed for Massport as a Firefighter at Logan Airport for over 28 years until his retirement in 1998. He also owned and managed Captain's Travel Service in Wakefield & Adam Lawn Care in Peabody.

He was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church in Peabody, a member of the Local Firefighter's Union Local S-2, the Ancient Order of Hibernian's , Peabody, a former member of the Peabody Jaycee's and enjoyed traveling, and golfing.

In addition to his wife, he leaves 3 sons Jeffrey S. Adam & his wife Stacy of Beverly, David P. Adam & his wife Christina of Georgetown, & Christopher W. Adam of Peabody, 1 daughter Kimberly A. Adam of No. Reading and her partner Lori, 3 grandchildren Kristina, Alysia, & Alexis Adam, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home 157 Maple St. Lynn Thursday at 8 AM. Funeral Mass in St. John the Baptist Church Peabody at 9 AM. Interment in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
