Rochester, NH: James E. Anderson, 87, died Saturday October 24, 2009 at his home after a long illness.
Mr. Anderson was born in Chillicothe, Ohio on October 2, 1922 the son of Richard and Caroline (Seay) Anderson and had been living in Rochester since 1964, moving from Illinois. Prior to retirement he worked at Davidson Rubber as a project engineer and enjoyed woodworking, fishing, bowling, camping and traveling. He was predeceased by his two brothers, Robert and Richard and by a son-in-law William Ballou.
Surviving members of the family include: his wife of 62 years, Rosemary (Greeley) Anderson of Rochester, NH, two daughters, Deborah Sommers and her husband Laurence of Redding, CA and Catherine Ballou and her fiancÚ Tim Berube of Rochester, NH. He also leaves four grandchildren, Kenneth Sommers and his wife Kate, Laura Sommers and her companion Vinal Perkins, David Sommers and Danielle Ballou, eight great-granchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.

The H. J. Grondin & Son Funeral Home, 177 North Main Street, Rochester, NH is assisting the family with the arrangements.
