Richard Aguiar Obituary

Richard Aguiar 67 of Tiverton died on March 16th. He was the husband of Joan M. (Couto) Aguiar.

Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Antonia (Aguiar) and Joseph Aguiar. He had formerly worked as Head Custodian for the Tiverton School Department and was a Truck Driver for the Aetna Bridge Co.

He was with the Teamsters, Local 251. He was also involved with the family business as a Mechanic and in other capacities at the former Aguiar's Sunoco of Fall River. He was a member of Holy Ghost Parish. An avid motorcycle enthusiast, he enjoyed riding with friends. Mr. Aguiar had served in the National Guards.

He is also survived by a son Randall "Randy" Aguiar of Tiverton, a daughter Lisa Aguiar (Husband David) of Westport along with grandchildren Randall Aguiar Jr. and Morgan Aguiar. He also leaves a brother Leonard Aguiar and was the brother of the late Joseph Aguiar Jr. Visitation THURSDAY 4-8PM His Funeral will be held on FRIDAY at 8am from the POCASSET MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME 462 Main Rd, Tiverton, RI with a 9am Mass at Holy Ghost Church.
