DAVIS, Charlene M. (Love), 65, of Manchester, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, (January 1, 2011) at Saint Francis Hospital. Charlene was born in Northhampton, MA on July 7, 1945 and raised in Hartford, CT where she graduated Weaver High School in 1963. She retired from Thomas Fahy Insurance, West Hartford, last year as a Commercial Lines Account Executive where she worked for 12 years. She dedicated most of her career to the Insurance field. Charlene loved the beach and camping for many years with family and friends. She was an animal lover since her youth and volunteered her time in various rescue projects. Charlene loved and lived for her family. She was known for her videotaping and unrelentless attendance to her grandchildrens sporting events and never missing a holiday. She was an avid reader and loved her favorite shows including Survivor, Dog the Bounty Hunter, Billy the Exterminator and Law and Order.
Charlene leaves five children, Robby Winarski and his wife Jessica of Southington, Robin Winarski-Perez of Manchester, Debbie Hartwell and her husband Eddie of Middletown, DE, Cathy Waller and her husband Steve of San Antonio, TX and Christine Ely and husband Sam of East Hartford, CT. She also leaves behind 14 grandchildren Kevin Smiley, Stephanie and Marques Campbell, Robby Winarski Jr., Michelle Wallace, Shermia and Antoine Miller, Sam Miller III, Cordell Snow III, Tyler and Alexandria Winarski, Jonathan and Ashley Hartwell and David Perez Jr. Also 9 great grandchildren Donovyn, Marques Jr., Jadan, Anastasia, Dontae, Angelina, Anthony, Kayla and Sean. She was predeceased by her grandson Shane Wallace and beloved canine Santi. She also leaves behind her life long friends, Joyce Suprenant, Joan Haber, Pat Robair and Lynn Chapman and many others.
A memorial mass will be held Thursday, January 6, 2011 at The Church of the Assumption, 29 South Adams St., Manchester from 10-11 am. A reception in appreciation of Charlene's life will follow at Cheney Hall, 177 Hartford Rd., Manchester, CT.
The family would like to thank Glastonbury VNA and Saint Francis Hospital staff. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Charlene may be made to Assumption School, 27 South Adams Street, Manchester, CT to support at her request the parochial education of David Perez.
