Loyd C. Barronett, 99, passed away Feb. 28, 2011 peacefully after a short illness. He fought valiantly to make it to his 100th birthday and as far as his family is concerned he succeeded! We LOVE You and MISS You!
He was born March 1, 1911 in Spokane, WA to Earle and Hazel Barronett. He was a lifelong resident of Washington State.
His father was determined to get Loyd the best possible education. And since Loyd wanted to be a teacher, he ensured that he was well versed in math, reading and science. He attended Spokane University, Washington State University and the University of Washington. 2011 would be the 50th anniversary of his graduation. Loyd taught or was in administration for schools in Washington for over 50 years.
Loyd and his wife Frances (deceased) moved to Centralia, WA in 1974. He often thought of the start up of the Centralia Christian School in 1979 under the leadership of Pastor Weaver and his serving role as one of the greatest achievements he was a part of.
Loyd is survived by his daughter Lois Sibert, Centralia, WA; grandchildren: Wanda Hargrove, Ocala, FL, Christine Madison of Vancouver, WA, Darlene Parker, Centralia, WA, Loyd Sibert, Ocala, FL and Richard Sibert, Centralia, WA. Great-grandchildren, Jeremy Sibert (deceased), Joel' Miravelles - Sibert, Tiffany Bradley, Olympia, Bryan Dale, Shalean Spalding, Troy Houthaling, Sasha Morgan, Amanda Neal. He is also survived by 20 great-great-grandchildren living all over the world.
A celebration of Loyd's life will be held at Centralia Christian Church in Centralia Sat., March 5, 2011 at 1:00 pm. There will be a private graveside service at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, Loyd requested that any donations be made to the Centralia Christian School in his name.
