Richard Zade Anderson, 88, of 107 Meadow Street died Wednesday, October 22, 2003 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
A native of Stevens County, Georgia, he was the son of the late, Wesley A. and Rosa Lee Kimbal Anderson and the widower of Virginia Deaton Anderson.
He was a member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church and a Lifetime member of Beaumont Lodge #376. He was a retired Military Policeman and Staff Sergeant with the United States Army after 22 years of service and also a retired employee from the Butte Knit Plant.
Surviving are a brother, Raymond Anderson of Georgia, and a half brother; Wesley Anderson Jr. of Georgia.
He is also survived by several nieces; Martha Ann Sewell, Emily Robinson, several nephews; Freddie Freeman and Michael Freeman.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 23rd, at Lanford Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 24, 2003 at Tabernacle United Methodist Church by Rev. Ed Traxler, Rev. David Boiser and Rev. Carrol Caldwell.
The body will be placed in the church at 1:00 p.m.
Burial will follow in Greenhaven Memorial Gardens.
