Walter Zebulon "Zeb" Aycoth
1915 - 2011

Dateline: Monroe, NC
Mr. Walter Zebulon “Zeb” Aycoth, 95, went home to be with his Lord, Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at White Oak Manor in Waxhaw surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Aycoth was born in Union County on August 26, 1915, son of the late W. A. and Minnie Green Aycoth. He was an active member of New Hope United Methodist Church for 60 years. Zeb was a retired auto body man, known for his artistic work on damaged vehicles. He worked for Cape Fear Body Works in Wilmington, NC, Bowie Ford and Hick Aycoth’s Body Shop in Monroe, NC for over 40 years. He was avid gardener, loved his church, family and friends. He will be remembered as a loving and giving Daddy, a caring Granddaddy, G-Paw and friend to all.
A celebration of life service will be held Sunday, June 26, 2011 at 3:00 PM at New Hope United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Lakeland Memorial Park.
Mr. Aycoth was preceded in death by his wife, Willie Moore Hemby Aycoth, a daughter, Shirley Aycoth Bowling, a great grandson, Joshua Bowling, brothers, Dock, Johnny, Paul, Neal and W. A. Aycoth, sisters, Verla Mae Helms Sims and Ruth Helms.
Mr. Aycoth is survived by his daughter, Sandra Aycoth Price and husband Larry of Monroe, sisters, Jeanette Davis of Charlotte and Sarah Carter Carpenter of Monroe, grandchildren, Michelle Price Belk and the late Brian Ray Belk of Monroe, Nicole Price Smith and husband Cliff of Charlotte, Tony Bowling and wife Suzy of Monroe, Ronnie Bowling and wife Donna of Charlotte Hall, Maryland, Debbie Bowling Belk and husband Tony of Monroe. Great grandchildren, Jeremy Bowling and Johnathan Bowling of Charlotte Hall, Maryland, Brianna Belk of Monroe, Lexy and Lara Smith of Charlotte, great great grandchildren, Taylor Bowling, Garrett and Colton Bowling of Charlotte Hall, Maryland.
The family would like to give their love and thanks to the staff of White Oak Manor in Waxhaw and to Hospice of Charlotte for their care, love and kindness shown to our loved one, Zeb.
