Mr. Leon H. Allen, 80, of Chestnut St., Franklin, died at Franklin Regional Hospital on Dec. 13, 2005.
He was born in Franklin on Sept. 15, 1925 the son of Edward and Aimee (Roy) Allen. Mr. Allen resided in Franklin most of his life.
During World War II, he served in the Pacific with the US Army Air Corps 338th Airdrome Squadron. Mr. Allen attained the rank of Sergeant.
He was employed as a truck driver for the former Courtemanche Oil Co. in Franklin and later worked for several years for Kidder Fuels in Northfield until retirement. He was a communicant of St. Paul Church.
Family members include 4 nieces and 4 nephews.
He was predeceased by a sister, Annette Moody and 2 brothers: Raymond Allen and Romeo Allen.
Visiting hours will be held Friday, Dec. 16th from 7-9 pm at Paquette-Neun Funeral Home, 104 Park St., Northfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, Dec. 17th at 12:30 pm in St. Paul Church. Spring burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Franklin.
