Harvey Ray Almarode LYNDHURST Harvey Ray Almarode, 56, of Lyndhurst, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at the University of Virginia Medical Center. Harvey was born on November 2, 1956, in Waynesboro, Virginia, and was a son of Willie Ray and the late Carey (Harvey) Almarode. After graduation from Wilson Memorial High School, Mr. Almarode worked as a truck driver for Shenandoah Recycling. He loved his work as a truck driver. Harvey was a member of the Hermitage Presbyterian Church and the Waynesboro Moose. He was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many who will greatly miss him. In addition to his father, Harvey is survived by two daughters, Jessica Brown and her fiance, Hunter Killingsworth, of Hermitage, and Tina Green and her husband, Stevie Green Jr., of Grottoes; a brother, Monte Almarode of Stuarts Draft; three grandchildren, Christopher Brown, Layla Brown and Shawn Green; and numerous cousins. A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes with the Reverend Dr. Wray Sherman III officiating. Burial will follow at Augusta Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Saturday, May 25, 2013, at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.
