SANDRIDGE, Kathryn Braudrick, 94, died June 28, 2013. She was a native of Richmond and a resident of the Hermitage at Cedarfield. Mrs. Sandridge's home church was Huguenot Road Baptist Church. She attended VCU (RPI) and the University of Richmond, while working full-time for the Commonwealth of Virginia. She was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Sandridge, a professor at Roanoke College. The couple were longtime residents of Roanoke, Va. The Sandridges established a scholarship fund for women at the University of Richmond, and over the years, Mrs. Sandridge helped many women, all of whom she met with personally, get a college education. She is survived by her brother-in-law, Ramon Warren Jr.; nieces, Shirley Murden, Qwendolyn Williamson and Linda Duke; nephews, Ramon Warren III and T. Floyd Irby Jr.; cousin, Thomas Fidler; and numerous great-nieces, nephews, cousins, and their families. She will have a graveside service for family at Oakwood Cemetery, Monday, July 1, 2013 at 11 a.m., followed by a memorial service at the Hermitage at Cedarfield at 2 p.m., conducted by Chaplain Chancellor Hamilton, Rev. T. Floyd Irby Jr. and Pastor Melissa Fallen. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kathryn B.
